A Light Heart

A ceremony I have been working on this Ostara is focussing on "A LIGHT HEART" and I shall endeavour to describe to you all the way of this ceremony.

Firstly I like to begin by clearing and cleaning the altar both physically and spiritually. I mindfully choose magical tools, crystals, figurines, herbs for the smudge and candles to enhance the ceremony next.

This time I felt that UNICORN symbolised this focus better than any other. Thinking deeply following the ritual I made not only a wise choice but while typing better I foresaw BEE would be another light hearted animal totem especially the Bumble Bee. Also sweet veg such as BEET would be good for a ritualistick meal.

The crystals I chose were TOURMALINE, LABRADORITE AND OBSIDIAN.

TOURMALINE is a multi-coloured stone that has different meanings compared to colours of the rainbow. I believe it was a GREEN one that enables you "to communicate with Merlin" of Britain. Or indeed a merlin. The merlin or hawk is a wondrous bird of "spirituality" which darts about the skies with the greatest of ease. Often seen to hover carefully at a distance. indeed my "DRuid Animal Oracle" cards depict this such happening.
It is a clear crystal created from a small hexagonal crystal with edges that are smooth and curved. There are small "ridge"s along the edges.
Good to learn to become a wizard!

LABRADORITE is a wonderful and most beautiful crystal of the stars. It is said to enable  communication with extra-terrestrials throughout the universe. Whether you wear it as jewellery or indeed have a crystal ball like myself, it is a friendly and kind crystal. I find it empowers psychic protection and enhances my "aura". My energetic being!
OBSIDIAN is a wonderfully grounding and earthly stone used to bring great benefit to you and your surroundings. It will ground excess energies and help make all wholesome and unique. It is a dark coloured stone of which there are several varieties all with specific qualities real ting to the essence of the stone. Wonderful for grounding the magic of your world to help bring about positivity.

The ritual once the altar pieces were aligned was simply quietly enjoyed and energy was flowing freely. The Unicorn sculptures were beautifully inspiring and helped me dream of the Omega. The Alpha and the Omega. "As it was in the beginning so shall it be in the End!"

By lighting the candles to an altar you are symbolising the beginning of a ritual and also perhaps you wish to sound an altar bell as the finishes altar is in full blaze, the incense lit and all arranged uniquely. The choice is yours!

I hope you feel inspired by this ritual and find the essence of the day inspiring too. It is goood to keep a light heart at all times and helps you breeze through life. You will learn to ride the waves on a super fly and helps to handle the ups with the downs. Blessings be upon you and amongst you!

The Moon of Showers (April)

April showers while the hours
Pitter patter window pane
Bringing rejuvenation to the land
Spring shoots
Greening the world
To have and to hold
For better for worse
For richer for poorer
In sickness and in health
Til life returns
Blessings of water

Raindrops on the leaves
Great times ahead

The Daffodil Moon (March)

Spring is truly here
Flowers bloom everywhere
Daffodillies dance with delight
Everlasting light
Heralding spring in everything
Welcome everyone
To the dance of spring
Clean the house
Wash the curtains
Broom at the ready
Spring equinox is here

Why do we cheer?
Life returns to us
With our hearts entwined
Thank you Lord
Thanks be my Lady
Could life really be this sweet?
Blossom trails...

The Moon of Romance (February)

Welcome the spring! Love and everything,
Romance is in the air
Candlelit dinner, rose in the vase,
Kisses beneath the moonlight,

This moon sure brings delight!
The promise of the future
The best of everything

Eyes twinkle together
Love and light
Ever bright
Thanks be!

The Cooking Moon (JANUARY)

why the cooking moon I hear you wytches ask? Well I were thinking of the time between yule and imbolc and all i could think of was "cooking". After yule we are all in cooking mode and to survive the rest of the season to spring you need to get nifty on the ole left-overs & skimpy cupboard thing. I once survived a summer season with the skimpiest of cupboards and hand-outs when the allotment was waiting to grow. Pancakes sprang to mind and at the start I had plenty dried fruits to keep me going for the mix.
At the time these were staples in mi cupboards!! Plenty of variety too! The scope of Big breakfasts was huge!! the dried fruit pancakes the size of a whole frying pan lasted this litlle human being all summer long wiv very little else to eat just padding out the rest of the day with fluids really and the odd marmalade sandwich at Grandma's home for tea-time!!

Cooking is really mi single most favourite ting to do!!

Well whats this moon all about!
Plenty good stuff. It is really about coming to the end of the rebirth cycle when we are about to renew with the spring. think of the Ancient Cailleach Bheur of Winter as she is in Her days of wisdom. This Happiness is what we are celebrating and as we begin to renew like She does with the return of the Sun at winter solstice so this is the time of renewal. This healing moonth of reneewing prepares us for the intensity of such energies in springtime. As with anything of Earth, Our wise great mother teaches us by example. She prepares us for spring renewal, for life to return by showing us just that in the garden. As the Ancient crone becomes

The youthful maiden so the mantle of the Great Mother changes Once more!

The Moon of Life (May)

As I while away the hours
Love falls around me in showers
Blossoming wimmin find the time
To sing a song or two
Love will make me feel again
Whether I be a friend
Or if you find the time to sing
Life can bring everything
After all life doth mean
"Nothing without singing"
"Sing, sing sing ,sing"
Goodtimes!
